Get some good beer, put together a banging charcuterie board and head over to the tree-lined Linn Street for the party of all parties! Matt and Tania fell in love with the neighborhood and quickly 1118 Linn Street became home - the first home of their son, Ali. Now with another baby on the way, they need a little more space, but can’t say enough good things about the home that started their family. Get to know Matt, Tania and Ali’s story!

How would you describe your personal interior design style?
Modern and colorful, with lots of comforting elements (candles, blankets, books, mementos... and plants!)

If you could only choose one song to play every time you walked into a room, what would it be?
Ali's would definitely be Ride of the Valkyries

How would you describe your neighborhood?
Vibrant- there's always something going on, whether it's a farmers' market, a pop-up choir, a festival, or just a bunch of tykes hanging out around the Singing Fountain.

What was your non-negotiable when it came to finding your dream home?
Location- close/easy commute to work and lots of things to do after work!

What's your favorite room? Why?
Can't pick just one!

The nursery- it's full of books in the built-in shelf and whimsy and it's a physical representation of our growing family
The patio- not really a room... but the best place to hang out!

What is one thing you need in your home to make it yours?
Each other (yes, it's saccharine and cliche, but it's true)

What makes you (or your family) laugh?
Being silly together

If you could throw a theme party in your house, what would be the theme?
Come as you are - but bring good beer and good cheese

A day spent running around the neighborhood: what's your first stop and last stop?

First stop: Essen or Artisan Boulanger Patissier for breakfast pastries and coffee.

Last stop: Bottle Shop for some take-home beers, or during the summer Bok Bar to watch the sunset

How has your home changed from move-in day?
We took on quite a few projects in our first home! Painted almost every wall. Refinished a bathroom. Took down the awnings. And there's so much baby stuff now!

What's your favorite memory of your home?
Bringing home Ali, and all the "firsts" we've experienced with him

What was the catalyst to you purchasing a new home?
We've got another baby on the way, and need more room for both kids and all the hands on deck we're going to need to stay and help

What's your favorite piece of Philly culture?
We love the food here. All the foods.
