We will really miss this home when we move.

One of our favorite features of the home is our roof deck. We have fond memories of watching fireworks from that deck and one of our dearest neighborhood friendships began there (I yelled from our deck to the couple on the neighboring roof deck when we first moved in, inviting them to our housewarming party. Now they are great friends and they watched our daughter, Felicity, three days a week for over six months – they are like baby whisperers!).

We raised our daughter in this home and the finished basement is her favorite play area. The kitchen is my favorite spot to host friends and gather for food and games. I also love that Mark and I have our own floor which includes my own private closet and my own sink!

Our community is fantastic. There is a 13th and Ellsworth Listserv and there is a block party planned for this summer. The location is just perfect and so convenient. I love being so close to Passyunk Square and being able to walk to the Gayborhood, Rittenhouse and even Olde City. Having such easy access to so many amazing restaurants without having to drive has been truly delicious and exciting!

How would you describe your personal interior design style?
Modern eclectic.

How would you describe your neighborhood?
A family-friendly area that is convenient to Passyunk square and center city. Also, delicious because you can walk a few blocks in any direction and have multiple choices.

If you could use your house as the setting for a remake of a movie, which movie would it be?
The House of Stairs? We haven't even seen that movie, but since we have four levels I (Becky) think our house would be the perfect setting for this remake.

What was your non-negotiable when it came to finding your dream home?
We cannot pick one as we had many non-negotiables. I think the top ones were the location, new construction, wide staircase, lots of natural light, and a roof deck. When we walked into this house for the first time I (Becky) asked, "Who lives in a stunning house like this?" And Mark said, "Maybe us?"

What's your favorite room? Why?
We consider the first floor to be one large open room. So this is our favorite room. We serve food, play games at the table, and relax later with a movie on the couch.

What is one thing you need in your home to make it yours?
A comfortable and calm space to relax.

If you could throw a theme party in your house, what would be the theme?
This one is tough! We both love music so maybe dressing as your favorite artist?

A day spent running around the neighborhood: what's your first stop and last stop?
The first stop might be getting beer for later at the bottle shop. Definitely ending the day eating chips, rice and beans, and tacos down the street at El Jarocho.

How has your home changed from move-in day?
We installed custom blinds in all but one window. I (Becky) am in love with the blinds in the master bedroom, specifically the way they transform the light. We also installed ceiling fans in most of the rooms. We find the breeze it produces to be relaxing.

What's your favorite memory of your home?
Bringing our daughter home from the hospital several months after we moved in. Our family camped out for several weeks and with the layout of the house none of felt cramped.

What was the catalyst to you purchasing a new home?
The upcoming arrival of our daughter and the desire for wider stairs.

What's your favorite piece of Philly culture?
The passion and intense unwavering support of all things Philly such as sports, proper cheesesteaks, scrapple, BYOBs, and the accent.
