Construction Update on South Philly Casino
Big changes are happening at the South Philly sports district with the addition of a large scale casino hotel at the site of the old Holiday Inn at 10th & Packer.

According to the project’s website, Live Casino Hotel Philadelphia, completion is estimated for winter of 2020. The structure stretches from Holiday Inn extending east across Darien Street to the Turf Club which is also part of the casino hotel. An indoor bridge will connect the two locations. The project will include, more than 1.5 million square-feet of gaming, hotel, dining and entertainment space, 2,200 slots and electronic table games and 150+ live action table games, including Poker, an upscale 200+ room hotel and more...
Along with the casino hotel by The Cordish Companies, Comcast plans to build a 200,000 square foot office building - Pattinson Place. This new office building will be a Class-A office tower and will include 20,000 square foot of retail space on the ground floor.
As a realtor and longtime resident of the South Philly Sports District, I thought a good idea for a continuing blog post would be to chart the construction progress of these 2 expansive projects. Since I pass this site daily on my morning walks with my rescue dog, Shae, I figured I would take some quick cell phone pics and share the continuing progress here.
Take a look at the progress of construction.
